Autumn Choice

Autumnal 4.5%

A crisp and refreshing copper-coloured bitter. Although the same strength as other seasonals it is lighter in character as we mash the malts slightly differently.

Vulcan Alia 4.3%

Vulcan Alia at 4.3 % is the third of Pilgrim's pagan beers, an experimental range brewed with unusual materials. This Alia celebrates the God of Fire, Blacksmiths and Craftsmen and as such has a red hue from specially imported Bavarian malts and a deep warmth coming from …. well let’s see if you can guess?!

Winter Choice

Gold Spice 4.3%

A new recipe this year for a beer brewed some years ago. We changed the beer because new hop varieties have become available which suit the original idea better. A zingy lemony-orange beer with an interesting malt character stemming from the use of lager and caragold malts.

Saracen Stout 4.5%

Possibly the first new stout brewed in the UK. Conceived and executed in 1987. Rich and chocolatey with deep flavour and a soft bitterness. Many stouts are bitter as a result of the high levels of roast barley used to give the black colour but it also give a harshness to the beer.... We "build" our colour and have hop bitterness instead. Re-formulated in 2009 and is now brewed with 8 different malts! 5 Barley, 2 wheat and one rye....yum!

Saturn Alia 4.8%

New for Chrismas 2009.....a dark garnet ale brewed to celebrate the pagan feast of drunken debauchery!!! A true Winter Warmer

Pudding 7.3%

It does what is says on the can! Pudding..what else? Currently unavailable but a re-launch is planned for as a result of popular demand but sadly not this year.

New Year Choice

Wild Winter Berry 4.3%

Bit of a walk on the wild side! Not a bitter, not a mild, not really in any regular category. Fruity, darling, with cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants..whatever fruit comes to hand at the time. Sweet, lush and warming.

Talisman 5%

A stronger, richer, ruddy version of Progress, just right for the cooler months. Watch those red hints come alive when looking at a log fire.

Spring Choice

Excalibur 4.5%

A gutsy fullsome beer makes an interesting comparison to Autumnal at the same strength.

Surrey Gold 4.3%

New for 2011..responding to a number of request we will be brewing this beer with a unigue double mashing system which will give great polish to the beer and a fantastic tight head.

Luperc Alia 4.8%

"A well built she-wolf of a beer brewed with naked cereals to slake your thirst and satisfy your carnal instincts. Our seasonal "Alia" is brewed to drive out evil spirits and promote health and fertility. Lupercalia was held in the spring and regarded as a festival of purification and fertility. The festival traditionally involved the sacrifice of dogs and goats but we recommend you seek the advice of you local Health and Safety officer before undertaking the ritual. If you are considering a virgin sacrifice then our brewer, Dave can advise but suggests you organise this in plenty of time as there is a current shortage and imports are of variable quality."

Summer Choice

Crusader 4.9%

One of the original Golden bitters first brewed when we moved to Reigate in 1985, light on the palate, good condition with a pronounced aromatic hop character.

Silver Sovereign 4.5%

Created in 2007 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Brewed with Vienna malt and Sovereign hops.
